Great hotel if you’re not looking to get any sleep !!
Nice hotel with great amenities however the stay was ruined by noisy guests at stupid hours in the morning and kids running riot up and down the corridors. Disappointed !! This happened 3 out of the 5 nights we stayed. Food was nice, Spa was excellent, Staff were lovely.
Cant be faulted great all round hotel
Simply all Pros and very little Cons, what's not to like, with so many great reviews that says w it all. This hotel is suitable for everyone and will not disappoint. We Would definitely recommend and return if travelling to Salou again.
Fantastic Family Holiday!!
We've just returned from a week at Golden Port Salou & Spa. The second time we have visited the hotel. We arrived earlier than expected but our rooms were still ready. We were checked in by the very friendly reception staff. It gave us time to get lunch in the restaurant and speak to Toni in the restaurant, our 8 year old son is Lactose Intolerant. He handed us over to the head chef who ran through everything he could or couldn't have. Toni and Javier were both very accommodating in making sure the chef was aware of this and each day they explained what our son could or couldn't have to eat. They even went to the extent of getting some Dairy free ice creams for dessert! The weather was good for the time of year but even when the sun disappeared, there was always something to do! Goldy's Kids Club keeps the children entertained for at least 3 hours throughout the day. Javi, Yohanna, Ramon and the team all spoke very good English and were very attentive to our 2 children (Aged 10 and 8). They can't do enough for them. For the adults, there are plenty of good bantered games to take part in with other guests such as french boules, shuffleboard, darts, pistol shooting, ping pong etc to play throughout the day.. The food was excellent. We were full board and the choice at meal times was fantastic. Toni and Javier were always most welcoming on arrival. The chef's and the restaurant staff were all very friendly too. The evening entertainment in the main room wasn't really to our taste and it can get quite noisy in the evening. It could do with a a bit of refurbishment and being made more airy and lighter. There are large pillars blocking the stage that restrict your view. We used to have a drink in Cafe Gregal near the family suites. The staff were always very friendly in here and it was usually quieter so you could enjoy a relaxing drink. They also had evening entertainment which was aimed more towards the adults whilst the kids were in the Kid's club! Our 8 year old son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive muscle wasting disease and requires the use of a wheelchair when his legs get tired. There are ramps situated in most places of the hotel so there wasn't any problem with accessibility. We'd highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return for a third visit. Great staff, great surroundings and an amazing choice of food!
