Sol Palmanova-Mirlos Tordos
2681 reviews
Sol Palmanova-Mirlos Tordos is a nine-storey hotel close to Majorca's southern coastline. The hotel is based in the purpose-built resort of Palma Nova, with its sandy beach within walking distance. The bars and lively nightlife of Magaluf are a short walk away. Palma Nova Beach holds Blue Flag status for its clear, clean waters and safe environment. During your stay at Sol Palmanova-Mirlos Tordos, days can be spent relaxing around the pool area, while younger guests splash about in the kids' pool. There's a pool bar where you can enjoy drinks throughout the day, or an ice cream to cool down. If you'd like to stay active during your holiday, you can take a fitness class on the hotel grounds. Children can have fun and make new friends at the hotel-run kids' club. In the evening you can enjoy dinner in the buffet restaurant, followed by entertainment organised by the hotel. There are live shows and karaoke for all the family, and a mini disco for younger guests. For older children, there's a games room, and Wi-Fi throughout the hotel to keep them connected. If you're heading out for the evening, you can explore the shops, restaurants and bars in Palma Nova's town centre.
Set on a protruding bay, you'll have three beaches to choose from on this stretch of the Palma Nova coastline, the closest being 120m away. All three are Blue Flag certified and feature a sandy beachfront and clear waters for paddling. Son Maties is the most popular, and offers a selection of seafront bars. If you'd like to see some more of the island, you can head to its capital, Palma, which is a short drive from the hotel. Its Gothic seafront cathedral and hill-top castle are the main attractions, and if you wander around its cobbled streets you can discover souvenir shops and traditional tapas restaurants.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in the hotel's buffet restaurant, where international and local cuisine is offered. Between meals, you can get snacks and drinks from the hotel's pool or lobby bar. You'll also have a mini fridge in your room for snacks and cold drinks.
The hotel has a number of activities on offer to help you keep fit during your holiday, including aerobics, aquaerobics and spinning classes.
The rooms at Sol Palmanova have a bright and airy interior with a neutral colour palette. They each have their own balcony or terrace.

Great hotel
Really enjoyed this hotel more than expected. Modern clean hotel large tv in main area more than willing to put on any tv shows or football. Food what to be expected on all inclusive buffet something for everyone. Large pools and plenty sun beds. Entertainment go above and beyond would 100 percent come back great price for a great hotel! Perfect location to lots of bars and food places and so close to the beach!
Great location.
Caters for stag/hens/children so expect the bar to be busy. Food was ok but same every day. The all inclusive is a bit of a con as you have to pay for well known brands still. Staff are very helpful and the hotel looks after you when you leave with a complimentary shower room and luggage storage. All in good but a bit noisy with all the children there and we booked in October thinking children would be in school.
Few days away
Stayed at the Sol Palmanova for 4 days from 16th October. Had previously stayed when it was Sol Mirlos Tordos and thoughtry it again as we like Palmanova. Arrived about 2 hrs after landing due to problems with baggage. Check in took ages for family in front of us, not sure what was wrong. Our room wasn't ready and wouldn't be till 2ish so we left the luggage and went for some lunch. Abit of a faff as your hot and sweaty from travelling. Room was ready just before 2.room was fine, clean, not the biggest but only was 2 of us, so for me was fine. We had a pool view which also looked onto what I think was a wee dog park Changed and down to pool. Large pool by 2.15 was totally on shade so went to top pool near palmanova 11. Managed to get 2 sunbeds and a parasol. For being middle of October weather was abt 27°every day. Pools are lovely, clean but very deep. I stepped down from last step and couldn't touch the bottom. I'm only 4 ft 11 When I wanted to cool down I just held onto the side. Food was abit hit and miss at lunch and dinner but I am VERY fussy so nowhere will ever suit me totally so try not to be put off with the food. I love my holiday cheese toasties so I nipped to the wee son Matios take out along the road on a few occasions. Shower was fab, powerful and easy to use. Did keep nearly over flowing so had to turn it off and on to let drain away. Beds were comfy enough and air conditioning seemed OK. Rooms cleaned everyday and fresh towels left even when we didn't leave them to be changed. Lifts are tiny and abit rickety but we were 3rd floor room 324 so used the stairs most of the time. Entertainment was the usual All inclusive but it was honestly fine. My girl is nearly 18 so Iv done years of watching the mini disco and still quite enjoy it to this day even though it was only my partner and I there. Brings back memories of when she was young. Drinks were fine. I'm a vodka gal and they tasted fine. Some nice cocktails especially the mango daiquiri which you had to pay for but was so worth 3 euros. Staff all seemed friendly. I do believe if you show manners they will return them and that's wat we did. Went out a wander one night. Went to The Prince William Pub. Nice wee place. Lots closed due to time of year but we really went to chill. I will definitely return next October and have looked into it. I like to go where I know and Palma nova is just beautiful. This hotel for us had what we needed.
