Massive thanks to Carla (reservations) & the front desk team. We had to move from another hotel at short notice!! & they could not of been more helpful to accommodate our needs. Currently finally relaxing & enjoying a great meal in the hotel restaurant & looking forward to enjoying what the hotel has to offer over the next few days.

Good but could be great

We stayed at the apartments which are a great option to have as they afford a bit of privacy, the option of being able to eat and relax within the apartment but also use all of the hotel amenities. I want to start off by saying that the apartments were lovely- we had a great view of the pool, and they were large in size with access to a dishwasher and washing machine. However, they were incredibly tired in areas- the coffee table in the living room was peeling the sides off, there were tiles missing in the bathroom, one of the toilet roll holders had came off of the wall and hadn’t been re-attached. The carpets were really stained also, which isn’t very pleasant to look at. It definitely had the feel of accommodation that was being left to decline until they did a big re-vamp! We didn’t eat at the main restaurant for dinner so cannot comment on this but the Rubi Bar was excellent, and allowed for last minute drops in for dinner. The food was lovely, with some great tasting vegan options- while also being reasonably priced compared to many of the restaurants at the marina! The staff’s attention to detail with the cocktails was impressive and their service was very good. This gave us high hopes for the hotel breakfast but were let down by a lack of vegan options- some beans, tomatoes and potato cakes along with some fruit… a few extra options such as a vegan yoghurt or sausage would be appreciated by many I’m sure. The rule that the poolside cafe requires a T-shirt be worn when it is literally beside the pool also feels slightly unnecessary. The main issue with the hotel was honestly the shuttle service. This is advertised by the hotel but was very poor… for example, there’s a shuttle at 16:00 and then not another until 19:00, 20:00 then 21:00. For any older people or those with physical disabilities, the walk to the Marina would be a struggle and the shuttle service would not help this much. To make this more annoying, there did appear to be more as we saw extra between 20:00/21:00 but this seemed to be sporadic and not advertised or discussed by staff- so pretty confusing all round. The hotel was lovely, and plenty of space at the multiple pools to access but some small changes would make a huge difference to the overall feel of the hotel!

Beautiful hotel

Another fantastic visit to this hotel. On arrival greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable Bruno who made the check in process easy .. upgraded to a beautiful one bed apartment for my 12 night stay .. every member of staff I encountered were friendly , helpful and always cheerful while working very hard to ensure guests looked after. There were many that stood out and I cannot remember all of the names but Saugat who worked at breakfast aswell as the bars was super friendly.. aswell as Ricardo from pool bar and all the staff at Rubi bar & breakfast room, not forgetting the hard working staff cleaning the rooms, the staff here are a credit to the hotel and I will certainly be back .. thank you for a wonderful stay.
