Be Live Family Palmeiras Village All-Inclusive 24H
2987 reviews
Be Live Family Palmeiras Village is a family-friendly, all-inclusive resort, located on the outskirts of the resort of Armação de Pêra, on the Algarve. Relax in the garden area, with its sun terrace and two swimming pools or on one of the two beaches, which are within walking distance. You can also take it easy in the spa with its sauna and Turkish bath.
Energetic guests can enjoy a game of football, volleyball, tennis, basketball or aqua aerobics. Alternatively, join one of the fitness classes or partake in a workout in the gym. For the younger guests, there is a kid's club for children aged 8-12, as well as a mini club for 4-7 year olds.
The resort has four restaurants on-site, with 3 a la carte options, including a pan-Asian which sushi and noodle lovers won't want to miss. The buffet eatery offers both Portuguese and international options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the little guests will have their own selection of dishes to relish. For a mid-afternoon drink or pre-dinner aperitif, there are three bars to choose from, with two by the pool area and one in the lobby, each serving a selection of soft and alcoholic drinks. Armação de Pêra has a selection of taverns, restaurants, shops and water parks, all just a short drive or bus journey away.
Standard rooms are equipped with a 32” LCD TV with cable channels, air-con, a hairdryer and a couch (which can also be used as an additional bed.) Upgrade to a Sea View room where you will be able to take pleasure in admiring the beauty of the ocean, relaxing while listening to the sound of the waves and enjoying the calmness of this area of the Algarve. For those with multiple children, Family Suites are available for up to five guests.
The hotel is just 350m from a minimarket, which is right by the local bus stop from where services depart for Portimão, Albufeira and Armação de Pêra. Portimão is the largest town in the western Algarve, which is the ideal place for shoppers. But don't miss the beautiful Azulejo tile paintings in the Jardim 1o de Dezembro, which depict the history of Portugal. The Museu de Portimão is a must for fish lovers as you'll find out all about the town's main industry - sardines. If you're visiting Albuferia the children may twist your arm into taking them on a boat trip to see a different type of sea life - dolphins.

Not great
Lovely hotel. Great staff. But that's all the positives I have. Nothing around to do Pools extremely cold my sons lips kept turning blue Poor food Extremely poor entertainment Snack bar was disgraceful didn't even see a burger or toastie once. I felt sorry for those arriving to a week of rain because in the day time they have nothing for people to do. The local town is nice and has a lively beach but again not much to do. No entertainment bars ect. Great price but wouldn't go again.
The good.. the bad... and the French
Start with the good, hotel is spotless, rooms cleaned everyday, towels changed every other, sometimes more if needed. Drinks are predominantly premium spirits, Gordon's, captain Morgan etc and a lot of choice. 2 'house ' cocktails which change every day Service can be slow, but not sure if this due to time of the year! The food was OK.. quite bland and repetitive. Themed nights would be a great idea to mix things up. Tip. Eat at the bottom restaurant (with the terrace) so much quieter and more efficient. Food seemed slightly better to me down here too! Pools were FREEZING!! However once in for a couple of mins you did kind of get used to it. The little kids pool was great, enjoyed by my 7 and 4 year old. As were the slides Bottom pool was busy (would hate to see it in the summer!) There wasn't much entertainment, either through the day or the night. The kids disco was 9pm! And at the far far end of the hotel. Only lasted half hour too! The French. Oh my days! It's a family hotel and is filled with French oaps who don't like kids, or noise. We got into 4 arguments with them telling us to sshh in the corridor. 2 at 9am in the morning, one at half 10 and the other at 10 to 7! All telling us to sshh and get back in our rooms, threatening to phone reception because of 'noise' one even shouted at my 4 Yr old to sshh after she fell over outside the room! They push into queues (don't queue) and pushed my children out of the way to get to chicken nuggets! Personally I wouldn't visit again, it was a way out of the main town, however a good few restaurants around and the beach is lovely and quiet. But for me. Its a no..
One one hand was great on other wasn’t :(
Food was terrible. So was the choice of drinks. Quite a few that we spoke to agreed. Daughter had a fall due to issues in bathroom with wet floor, very dark and no wet floor sign.no medic around to assist, she couldn’t attend hospital due to phobias because of her autism. One receptionist very rude, we couldn’t claim our free meal because they didn’t have space till after we had left. We weren’t informed we needed to book this when we checked in, seems a lot of the holiday makers are missing out on their meal, not acceptable at all. All in all apart from the food we really enjoyed our stay (clean rooms, nice pools, so it’s such a shame they didn’t want to put any of this right before we left as I’d have loved to visit again :(.
