Located on the coastal outskirts of Paphos, this family-friendly hotel overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, where you can take a dip in the cooling waters or watch the glowing sunset. The area is known for its secluded coves for swimming, pine forests and archaeological sites. The centre of Paphos is a short drive from the hotel, with historic attractions to discover, as well as bars, restaurants and shops.
There are three main pools at the hotel. Children can make the most of the water park during the day, with a variety of slides and a lazy river. If you want to stay active, you can join the aerobics or aqua aerobics sessions that are run regularly, or go for a cardio workout at the gym. For some leisurely time with friends, there's a football area, multi-sports court and beach volleyball court. To unwind, you can head to the spa to book in for a massage or use the sauna. You could have a game on the tennis court, where equipment can be hired. The hotel runs a kids' club during the day for children aged 4-11, with a variety of fun activities including arts, crafts and sports.
As well as a buffet restaurant serving local cuisine, made by expert chefs using ingredients sourced in the area, there's also international a la carte options. These feature Italian, Greek and Mexican dishes and in the summer months offer al-fresco dining. For an afternoon drink in the sun there's a choice of three bars: the Terrace, the Wooden Cosy and the Pool Snack, also offering light bites. You may prefer to have an evening drink in the indoor Lobby Bar.
Rooms at King Evelthon come with a furnished balcony air-conditioning/heating, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, hair dryer, digital safe box, mini bar and tea & coffee making facilities. Upgrade options include Swim-Up and Superior Front Sea View, the latter offers unrestricted panoramic views of the Mediterranean. The Suite option features a Jacuzzi bathtub as well as sunbeds on the balcony.
There are numerous historical sites to visit in Paphos, so ensure you book a stay long enough to allow you to visit the many sites, as well as leaving time to relax. You could spend hours exploring the Kato Pafos Archaeological Park, an important ancient Greek and Roman city which still isn't fully excavated. Here you will see mosaics, as well as the remains of temples and theatres. Christians shouldn't miss Saint Paul's Pillar, dating from 45AD, located where St. Paul attempted to convert Paphos from Paganism to Christianity. That may not have gone as he hoped at that time but today there are numerous historic Byzantine churches in the area. For children who aren't interested in history, there's a zoo and a waterpark. If you fancy playing a few rounds of golf during your break, you can head to Marios Golf Park, a 9-hole golf course that is 2.2km from the hotel.

No where near 5 stars Shabby inside and out Awful food, though in abundance Completely missold by Jet2 - not a cheap mistake to make This was supposed to be a special adventure and its left us waiting to escape...
Disaster hell hole full of drinkers and smokers.
Where do i start ?? We arrived on the 13th of october 2022 we were shown to our room no 123 after that we thought we would have a walk round to get familiar with the hotel. It was dark so we could not see that well we then returned to the indoor bar where sandwiches were available. I went to the bar was not greeted by the member of staff very hard faced blonde lady i asked for 2 coffees and 2 orange juices at that point i got a bad feeling. We ate the sandwich had the drink then returned back to the room. At roughly 1 o'clock in the morning the doors were banging and crashing shouting and screaming down the corridors this had become the start of the nightmare. We then got up after a terrible night sleep went in the bathroom to have a shower it was not clean mould on the bath the floor under the sink had pubic hair from the previous people or before them dust and dirt in the corners of the room generally filthy. We ventured out to get breakfast walls were dirty in the corridors doors on rooms very heavy banging doors into reception needed 2 people to push them open. Got to breakfast after walking around for 10 mins plus we finally got a table it was a nightmare every morning and night the same thing too many people not enough tables.. The pool areas out side you can smoke any where being a none smoker was horrendous breathing in peoples cigarettes no escape you would think designated areas would be put in place. On the Terrace area adjacent to reception same thing everyone smoking when you have children you have no choice apart from sitting in side on a nice warm evening. All in all that was the biggest down full. We found the staff rude to a point i went the get an omelette and was shouted at YES PLEASE i looked behind and then realised she was talking to me RUDE. The reception staff the same bar staff they all need a lesson in customer service. Around the pool there was never no one cleaning cups flying around and on 2 windy days blowing into the sea along with inflateables DISGUSTING. Where we was staying had partial sea view right over the kitchen fans so the smell of the food cooking along with the smell of grease you could smell in our room so the balcony door could not be open because the smell was not pleasant. The second night we were there at 2 o'clock in the morning there were girls screaming and 5 minutes later a boy shouting at the top of his voice Chloe where r u Chloe you C u __ you Cu __ continually at that point we had to get reception to intervene too much drink not enough respect. Doors banging every night shouting back to the room drunk as hell most nights. I could go on but i have not got a lot of time to carry this review on but 5* become a very Quick 3*. I can not see how this is rated at 5* only by people that go there to get out of there nut on drink smoke them selves to death bang and crash the doors scrape the furniture across the floor at silly o'clock in the morning. The indoor pool is dark freezing cold half the lights don't work it was like being in a morgue the pool beds inside and out were filthy dirty and were stinking and stained to hell. We ventured out to the Elysium not far away my god you pay for what you get it was like walking out of Butlins into paradise We had Tea for 2 with friends there amazing service amazing staff amazing place the scent as you walk in takes you be surprise rather than smelling cigarettes and mould in the Evelthon. Please look around please research before you end up in a hell hole like this. Thank you for taking time to read this very long review bearing in mind i have not covered everything.
Definitely not 5 Star!!!!
We have stayed in many hotels in Cyprus, this is by far the worst. We are staying in a “Swim up” room, it’s dirty, the tv is literally hanging off the wall, the bath plug has broken twice and the terrace outside is a hazard as the tiles are so slippery. There is a leak from the room above which we have complained about three times so far. Apparently we have to put up with!!! I’ve requested a bundle of towels from the hotel so I can lay them on the floor to ensure my son doesn’t fall over again. At the Buffet restaurant there are children allowed to walk around without shoes, there’s food dropped on the floor (which happens) but staff just walk around it. We picked it up for them. On the plus side, as long as you get into the restaurant early you’ll definitely get fresh, hot food. Don’t go in after 8pm it’s mayhem. The main reception area is lifeless with very uncomfortable seats and there’s not enough seating for the amount of people staying in the hotel. It’s just a shame that after waiting 4 years I’m here and have to stay another 5 nights.
