Sol Lanzarote All Inclusive is a family-friendly hotel in the bustling town of Matagorda, on the south east coast of the Spanish island of Lanzarote. The hotel has a bright and modern design, with whitewashed walls, balconies and surrounding greenery. Nearby you’ll find the thriving town of Playa de Matagorda less than 10 minutes away by car. For a fun day out with family or friends, you can discover more of the island's scenery on a mountain bike trip, or try sailing out on the water.

There are three outdoor pools and one shallow option for tiny tots at the resort. And if you enjoy keeping fit on holiday, you can go for workout sessions at the gym. For some downtime, you can head into the centre of Matagorda and book a massage or beauty treatment at one of the local spas, while the kids are being looked after at the hotel.

Fantastic family holiday

I have seen some bad reviews of this place and am baffled as to why. You get what you pay for and although it isn't a 5 star hotel it definitely delivers It's spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. The choice of food is phenomenal and if you can't find something to eat there is something wrong with you. The cocktails are tasty and plentiful. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the food in the snack bar wasn't covered and the flys were everywhere. It certainly didn't spoil my experience. There are some ignorant people putting towels on sunloungers to save them which is strictly forbidden but the staff don't really do anything about it. The beach across the small road was huge, there were sunbeds but you had to pay for them, €10.50 for 2 beds. The sea was a little chilly and the waves were strong on windy days. But the weather was hot, up to 29deg some days so the wind and cool water were welcome. There were many shops and restaurants a short walk away to the left and right. You could also hire electric scooters to take you up and down the road, just scan with your phone and off you go. We used these most days and went quite a distance, there are loads of spots you can drop them off and pick them up. Entertainment every night at the hotel could be hit and miss but again tastes vary. It's 10 minutes at the most from the airport so you aren't chomping at the bit to start your holiday. Definitely recommend this hotel, enjoy

The best family holiday! ☀️

We recently visited this hotel for 10 nights and we had the best family holiday. We had a family room with a sea view which was really spacious and cleaned every day. Most of the staff were very friendly and they all clearly work extremely hard. The animation team are fantastic and our little girl had the time of her life at the mini disco and during the day time activities. Samantha and Darius were particularly brilliant with the children. We did not watch much of the adult entertainment but the magician was fantastic. The pools were clean although very cold when you first get in. In the middle pool they do a range of activities like aqua aerobics and they have a water mat that the children can run along which they love. There is a wide range of food in the restaurant. The restaurant can get a bit chaotic at times but this is more down to greedy guests rather than the hotel itself. Some reviews have mentioned time slots but we walked in whenever we wanted to and it was never an issue. The self service drinks were great and there was also a range of lovely cocktails which you could request. Some reviews complain about the paper cups so I took my own plastic cup. However, I didn't use it as the cups were fine and I appreciate their efforts to be more sustainable for the environment. The hotel's photographer, John, was brilliant. He captured fantastic photos during our holiday which we were able to purchase for a reasonable price. He makes such an effort with the children and he is just a really lovely person. The location is beautiful with the beach just behind the hotel. There are also shops a short distance either side of the hotel. The Spar shop to the left as you walk along the beach is cheaper than using the hotel shop onsite. A short 20 minute walk left out of the back of the hotel you can see the aeroplanes landing which is a must see. Rancho Texas and the shopping centre Biosfera in Puerto Del Carmen are less than 10 minutes in a taxi and cost less than 5 euros to get there. We would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families! We were so sad to leave and we made so many special memories.

absolutely lovely beautiful sea view rooms very large room . all staff restaurant bar staff room cleaners , pool staff , entertainment reception faultless and very nicely mannered .the food breakfast , lunch and dinner including the snack bars were varied and excellent.loved sitting on the terraces facing the beach with glass windbreaks all around.the varied entertainment acts were first class will def book again. and also made much nicer with the jet 2 flying times and great service . well done jet 2.
