Fantastic family hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just got back from 10night stay at this hotel and it has plenty of positives and a few negatives. The hotel is in a fantastic location for family holidays and the food was good and rooms cleaned everyday to a good standard. Loads of sunbeds for everybody and the all inclusive facility of serving yourself with soft drinks around bar area also all drinks at meal times keeps everybody happy. Every room had a pool/sea view. If you’re on a late departure you can also spend your time normally then use the Spa facility to shower and freshen up before your journey home. The NEGATIVES… the lifts at this hotel are dreadful and always breaking down we even had to use the staff lift on a couple of occasions due to travelling with a pram. The Entertainment is also very poor for such a great hotel. It’s a shared evening programme with other hotels so gets very busy, mini disco from 8:15 followed usually by an assorted quiz night . Out of the 10 nights, there was a great magic show once and a very loud female singer on another but the remaining 8 nights quiz after quiz. The animation team where all good finding time for everybody. We will definitely visit again and recommend for families especially with the Waterpark being part of the booking.
Okay but not what it was
We stayed here twice before, last time in September 2017. We looked for a late deal and found a good price on the hotel, it was great previously so though we would return. Sadly the hotel looks to have been hugely effected by covid and isn’t what it was before. We had room 615A on the top floor. Lovely and spacious, large balcony and a great view as we remembered. Overall the room was good, cleaned every day very well. The bathroom was tired. Wallpaper was peeling off and had been written on at one stage. The attempt to remove this hadn’t quite managed it. Food was the biggest let down. Previously it was really good but it was very similar if not the same most days in the restaurant. The food by the pool we didn’t want to go anywhere near. It was such a shame to see. On our last night we went to the bar on the beach front and ate there. Wish we had found it earlier in the week it was superb. Drinks at night are served in disposable plastic cups, it used to be glass and it gave such a better experience. We also went to use the gym during our stay as a storm rained off two days. When we go there we found an empty room with a mismatch set of free weights and one weight machine. Nothing else. Again looked to have been ransacked during the covid years. Overall is was okay but very lacking from what it used to be.
Relaxing time
A family of 6, myself, my partner, my mum, my daughter and her 2 boys 8 and 14. We had 3 rooms and 2 had an adjoining door. We arrived at the hotel at 10.30 at night, check in took a wee while as only 1 receptionist on and we were behind a large group however everything was explained well and we received a free lunch bag with a sandwich fruit and water. The rooms were really nice, cleaned and fresh towels provided every day. Sheets changed every other day. Excellent air conditioning, comfy beds, fridge and free safe available. All inclusive buffet. Usual breakfast, bacon, sausages, eggs, beans, hash browns, lots of cereal, toast, rolls, fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, cold meats. Cooking station providing never ending fresh fried eggs and omelette. Churros and fresh pancakes with chocolate sauce. Definitely the best meal of the day. Lunch and dinner were good and I only resorted to pasta once, pork and fish every day again with a cooking station providing fresh cooked fish, chicken.lots of veg, rice, canary potatoes, very little chicken or beef. Pizza, fish fingers, chips. Dessert was Usual Spanish sponge cakes and mousse and amazing rice pudding. Pool bar had snacks all day, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and some sweet pastries. Self serve cold juice and coffee. Lovely pool area, impossible to get a bed at the pool but plenty beds further back. Aqua Park was good, free entry to hotel guests, we paid for the extra snacks and drinks package but I'm not sure it was worth it, it would of been just as easy to return to the hotel if hungry. Salt water but floats, balls etc allowed. Entertainment wasn't great and alcohol served in small plastic cups at all times, even the beer. Row of Usual tat shops which we feel were overpriced because there is no immediate competition (pampers nappies 14 euros), we had fun haggling and got some thing reduced. (Friendly haggling, even my grandson got money off his drum). Busses and taxis readily available if you want to explore. We didn't go to the beach as it was dark volcanic sand and didn't look very inviting. Overall a very relaxing 10 days spent swimming, eating and drinking.
