Just like this gorgeous Greek island itself, Casa Cook Rhodes is a hotel of contrasts. Set against the backdrop of Tsambika Mountain, this totally chilled out hideaway is just a 10-minute walk to the beach and a 30-minute drive to the island capital’s Old Town. Its design blends a minimalist style with natural elements, featuring local colours, textures and materials in keeping with the surrounding landscape of olive groves and rocky hills. The overall effect is as relaxing as you’d hope, yet this is also a supremely sociable place to stay.
The Kitchen Club is Casa Cook’s main hub, an easygoing meeting place for the friends you’re with or the ones you’ve just met. Meals, snacks and drinks are available from morning till night, for you to enjoy from the bar, in the restaurant or by the pool. You’ll be sure to find something you like, whether that’s a spread of Greek mezze to devour after an afternoon swim, or a perfectly poured mojito to sip while soaking up the beats from the resident DJ.
Kolymbia Beach is just a stroll away (1.5km), while the secluded Tsambika Beach with its broad stretch of sand is a quick 10 minutes by car (6km). More of a thrill-seeker than a sunbather? You’re in luck, with watersports centres at both enticing you to make the most of the Med. Or you might like to join a guided hill hike from your hotel and see the coast from up high. But if you prefer your exercise at the gym, you’ll find everything you need in Casa Cook’s fantastic fitness room.
For a change of pace and scenery, head to Rhodes Town, where you can explore the city’s medieval past. Its Old Town’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so get ready to be charmed by the cobbled streets, intriguing alleyways, and stunning castle. Or by night, hit the bars and clubs of this lively after-dark hotspot. Around 26km away, you can get there by hire car, taxi or on a tour.
All rooms are decked out in warm earthy tones and thoughtful touches. Some back out onto a private verandah with pool access, others have their own deck chairs or hammocks. Whichever you choose, you’ll have the space you need to kick back and unwind. For peak relaxation, book a private yoga class in the open-air shala, a countryside walk to the soothing Seven Springs, or a sailing excursion along the coastline.
You’ll get double or twin beds, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minibar (payable), safe and a shower room. Double standard rooms have a private veranda with access to a shared pool. Loft suites also have pool access but are larger and on two floors, with a whirlpool in the lounge. The remaining suites are even bigger, with three types available (two with private pools), including split-level accommodation with a raised sleeping area. But for the ultimate upgrade, pick one of the Prestige suites with a private pool. These beauties have a 38 sq m veranda, where you’ll find loungers, a sofa and a table for the best in outdoor relaxation.

Beautiful mountain view
From the hotel you have a magnificent view on the surrounding mountains. The hotel rooms all have access to a private pool that can be reached from your room's private sitting area. Overall there is a calm and relaxing athmosphere. The people from the hotel staff are very friendly, especially the waiters of the bars and during breakfast and supper time. The quality and quantity of the food (breakfast, lunch, supper) is outstanding. Also the drinks, the standard wines (sparkling, red, white, sweet) and coctails are of excellent price-quality ratio. Some minor criticism: larger variety of local cheese and coffee machine during breakfast (also espresso machine on the room). Bicycles for rent in the hotel need more maintenance, reception area and hospitality of this staff could be improved. Different hotel staff should wear proper uniforms with logo of the hotel instead of a variety of their personal 'black' cloats.
Mixed feelings
Took a day or two to relax and adjust to the set up at Casa Cook. We arrived around 1 am in the dark. You have to down load their app to find all the information and menus. We felt a bit more oral information, tour or a map of the site would have been helpful. We didn’t find the quiet pool until nearly the end of our stay. Things we enjoyed. - Great tasty , plentiful and Greek based food. Breakfast was good and evening meal was great. Soup, bread followed by 3 starters and a meat or fish main dish and then desert. - The weather was brilliant end of September/ beginning of October. - The staff were efficient and friendly if you approach them. -The quiet pool was lovely and had a lovely friendly barman. - Great car hire by Ares outside reception. Helpful, friendly local information and great deal. - Never felt too busy even though they were fully booked. - Easy bus access to Rhodes town and Lindos. Things we weren’t so keen on. - No sun beds. It’s large flat cushions on the ground with wooden adjustable head rests. - Room( superior veranda) was in the shade every day by 1pm. Standard rooms more sunny . Hammock was never used and took up space. No comfy seat in room. Block 400 looks onto the doors of block 300 and people walk pass constantly so no privacy. - Music at main pool is a throbbing, irritating noise. The Dj in the evening played more throbbing music. - No evening entertainment. We did have a great holiday and the overall standard at Casa Cook is good and food of a very high standard.
Great place for vacation
Again we had a very pleasant holiday in the magnificent hotel. The place is so nice, partially surrounded by hills in a very quiet neighborhood. The stuff is young, very helpful (thanks popi, thanks kiki and all others). We only had breakfast which was nicely laid out. Grab a Taxi and go eat dinner in Stenga by the beach very nice taverns. Still need to mention few things which could add points to the experience: 1. The pools are great but if water temperature will be a bit higher it will make us enjoy it much more . 2. There’s always missing spoons and tea spoons in the table and you need to ask for. 3. Coffee is made from the bar outside near the pool so it could take to long to get it especially when you wait for breakfast.
